Thisara Perera has been named as the chief of Sri Lanka's Twenty20 squad for the irregular diversion against England, Sri Lanka Cricket declared on Monday (October 22). The allrounder will assume control from Angelo Mathews who as of late was chopped out from the 50-overs side as well, after a lackluster display in the Asia Cup.

Lasith Malinga, who last played a T20I diversion against India over a year prior, has earned a path once again into the side after his noteworthy appearing in the second ODI against England.

He got a five-wicket pull to restore his odds of making it to Sri Lanka's 2019 World Cup squad in the wake of disregarding his poor frame on his constrained overs rebound in the Asia Cup against Bangladesh, grabbing four wickets.
